As an Austrian culinary critic, I was thrilled to experience the charming Hotel Villa Rainer on Lake Wörthersee for Easter. The location, right on the lake, was simply perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff, despite some confusion, were friendly and accommodating, ensuring our comfort during a couple of unexpected storms.The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wonderful variety that catered to everyone, including our little 2-year-old companion. The fact that the staff organized a special pre-Ironman meal for enthusiasts like us truly went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel's lakeside terrace, where breakfast was served on sunny days, provided a picturesque setting to start our mornings.We enjoyed the option to hire bicycles and boats, exploring the beautiful surroundings during our stay. And having the opportunity to unwind in the lakeside spa area and play tennis on the hotel's courts added to the overall experience. To top it off, the lakeside restaurant with its dinner menu and freshly baked cakes in the afternoon made our evenings exceptionally delightful.Hotel Villa Rainer truly lived up to its reputation of a four-star gem, offering not just a comfortable stay, but an immersive experience in the beauty of Austrian nature and hospitality. The elegant property, combined with the warm welcome and thoughtful services, has left a lasting impression on us, making it a destination we can't wait to return to for future adventures.
